How it works
Once a point has been established, a Don't Come bet treats the very next roll as its own personal come-out. A 2 or 3 wins immediately, a 7 or 11 loses, 12 pushes, and any other number becomes your own point which you now want a 7 to beat.
Because the roll sequence is identical to a come-out roll, the probabilities are identical too. The house edge is exactly the same 3/220, or 1.3636%.
Why bother
The line bet gives you one point. Don't Come bets let you build several, each at the same low edge, so more of your money is working at 1.36% rather than sitting idle or drifting toward the proposition bets in the middle of the table.
