There is no fixed threshold; it varies by property and by market. What is consistent is the treatment: higher table limits, private rooms, dedicated hosts, and comps that scale well beyond the standard schedule.
The economics are the same as any other rating, only larger. A player whose theoretical loss runs into five figures a trip justifies a great deal of hospitality, and the hospitality is paid for out of that expectation.
High-limit rooms often carry better rules, which is a genuine advantage: single-zero roulette, 3:2 blackjack and higher craps odds are more common at higher minimums. Paying a larger minimum to reach a lower house edge is frequently the better deal.
