The other half of the Strip

Caesars operates eight properties on the Las Vegas Strip, including Caesars Palace, Paris Las Vegas, Planet Hollywood, Harrah's, The Linq and Flamingo, plus a very large regional portfolio across the United States.

Its scale outside Nevada is the part visitors underrate: the loyalty programme spans properties in dozens of states, which is why play recorded on one trip produces offers somewhere else entirely. Our comp and rating entries explain how that calculation works.

The Fertitta bid

Billionaire Tilman Fertitta has offered $17.6 billion to take Caesars private. Two Fertitta Entertainment executives received unanimous approval from Nevada regulators, and the transaction is expected to close in spring 2027.

It is not done. The deal still requires shareholder approval, clearance from the Federal Trade Commission and the Department of Justice, and sign-off from regulators in an estimated 25 gaming jurisdictions, which is a direct consequence of how widely Caesars operates.

How the company got here

The Caesars trading today is the product of the 2020 merger with Eldorado Resorts, which kept the Caesars name and the Eldorado management. That deal created the largest casino company in the United States by property count and loaded it with the regional portfolio that now complicates its sale.

Our Las Vegas guide covers the properties themselves.

What the operator does not decide

Branding varies between groups; the mathematics does not. A pass line bet costs 1.41% at every casino in the world, and the things that genuinely change what you pay are printed on the felt: our 6:5 blackjack and European against American wheels pages cover the two worth checking first.

Where the operator does matter is comps, since loyalty programmes are set at group level and play recorded at one property produces offers across the whole estate.

When was this checked?
Against company statements and gaming trade press in August 2026.

Ownership, property counts and transactions on this page were checked against company statements, filings and established gaming trade press in August 2026. Where a deal is proposed rather than completed the page says so, because several of these are mid-transaction and may not close.
